In our last blog post, we covered our new quarantine cup designs, which were voted favorites with the help of our awesome customers and social media followers! Although it may not be a typical “party”, every yardy requires a few signature quarantine cups. Most of these options are available in both styrofoam and shatterproof, so there’s an option for all of your yardy needs. We’ve included a few options that are sure to be a hit at your gathering. We’re huge fans of sending everyone home with a “yardy favor” – and these cups come in sleeves of 10 so they’re the perfect option for doing just that.

 

 

 

I mean, you can’t NOT laugh when filling up these 2020 cups with your favorite quarantini cocktail. Make the most of the moment by throwing these on your yardy party setup or sending home with guests for a fun cup to use at home.

 

 

Does your group have a hugger? If it doesn’t.. it may be you. These cups are hilarious while serving up a gentle reminder to keep the distance! There is a 100% chance that these appear on your Instagram feed at some point during the yardy.

 

 

If you’re hosting a yardy by the beach.. we’re expecting an invite! Our “coastal distancing” cups are perfect for hanging poolside or beachside. Remember that quarantini mentioned earlier? We’ve got the PERFECT concoction to beat the heat in any outdoor setting. We snatched this recipe for refreshing Pineapple Sweet Tea from Pizzazzerie and trust us, it’s just as good as it sounds! You’ll literally be sipping on summer with this sweet and refreshing recipe. TFG Tip: we recommend making ahead of time in a large pitcher so guests can self-serve.

 

 

 

 

Ingredients: 

9 cups water

1 cup sugar

8 regular-size black tea bags

1/8 teaspoon baking soda

3 cups pineapple juice

 

Instructions:

Make your simple syrup first! To do so, heat 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to boil and stir until sugar dissolves, forming the simple syrup. Remove from heat, allow to cool and pour into a container. You can store this in the fridge while making tea.

 

In a large saucepan, bring 1 quart (4 cups) water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add tea bags (Pizzazzerie recommends tying strings together for easy removal later) and baking soda.

 

Allow tea to steep for 8-10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and stir in the simple syrup.

 

Pour tea in a large pitcher and add in remaining water and pineapple juice.

 

Garnish with fresh mint and pineapple and serve in your custom yardy cup! Make sure to snap a pic, too. These are definitely Instagram worthy!

 

 

BACKYARD BITES

 

There’s a whole new meaning to “finger foods” post-pandemic. If you’re looking for the perfect summer spread to serve at your yardy while attempting to maintain some social distancing, go with a snack board, like this one inspired by The Baker Mama! We’re big fans of allowing guests to build their own plate rather than a typical hover around the barbecue moment. We’ll save that for 2021.

 

 

Pile hearty picnic foods like sandwiches, hot dogs or sliders with grab and go snack options for easy picking.
